This colorful warbler crawls up and down the tree trunks looking for insects. Here he found a wasp. It is striking that the bird does not seem to have a preferred direction, it crawls on its head from top to bottom, and then goes up again on the next trunk.

This colorful singer is very special for Arizona; The animal actually belongs in the eastern half of the US. Perhaps the cold winter in the eastern US encouraged him to seek the warmth of Arizona.
